My name is Anitha Niyomufasha, and I am writing this report to reflect on my life, learning, and cultural experience during my stay in Germany. Over the past few months, I have experienced many changes in my daily life, thinking, and personal development. I have learned new things, faced challenges, and grown in many ways.
Living, Learning, and Volunteering
Living in Germany has been a unique experience for me. The lifestyle here is very different from what I was used to. I have learned to live independently, plan my activities, and adapt to a new environment. I also had the opportunity to meet and work with people from different backgrounds and cultures, which helped me become more open-minded and respectful of diversity.
One of the most important things I gained during this time is improvement in my German language skills. I can now communicate at a basic level, which helps me in my daily activities. I also learned many useful skills through volunteering and working in different situations, such as helping children, assisting people with disabilities in my project Caritaswerkstätten St. Johannes in Mayen, and doing hands-on work. I have become better at organizing my time, using digital tools, and working in a team.

Challenges and growth
Of course, I also faced challenges. At the beginning, the language barrier was difficult, and I felt homesick being away from my family. The cultural differences also took time to understand. However, I tried to stay positive and open to learning. I pushed myself to be strong, ask questions, and keep improving.
This experience has helped me prepare for the future. I now understand my strengths better and feel more confident in my abilities. I am more motivated to set goals for myself, both in my personal life and in my future career. I believe what I have learned here will help me wherever I go next, whether I stay in Europe or return to Rwanda.
The future will be bright
In the next eight months of my stay in Germany, I hope to continue growing. I would like to improve my German to a higher level. I also want to learn more about European culture and how people live. I plan to continue volunteering and helping others in my community. I want to develop more skills related to my future goals, build new friendships, and prepare myself for a brighter future.
In conclusion, my time in Germany so far has been a life-changing journey. I am deeply grateful for everything I have learned, the personal growth I have experienced, and the people who have supported me. I especially want to thank my organization for giving me this wonderful opportunity, for their guidance, encouragement, and continuous support throughout this experience. Without them, this journey would not have been possible. I look forward to continuing this path of learning and making a positive impact during the remaining time of my stay.
Yours Anitha Niyomufasha
